Billing

Fund your balance, see what each relay costs, and watch your spend.

Tronergy is prepaid. You keep a TRX balance, and each relay is paid from it. Sandbox has free test credit. You only deposit for live.

Fund your balance

Get your deposit address

Terminal
curl "https://apiv2.tronergy.io/api/payment_gateways/portal/deposit?chain=tron&environment=live" \
  -H "x-api-key: $TRONERGY_API_KEY"

payment.depositAddress is your own address. It stays the same.

Send environment=live. Without it you get your sandbox address.

Send TRX

Send TRX (not USDT) from any wallet or exchange. The minimum is 1 TRX.

Wait about a minute

Your balance is credited after 19 confirmations. You can also do all of this in the dashboard at apiv2.tronergy.io/gas-tank.

Check your balance

Terminal
curl "https://apiv2.tronergy.io/api/gas_tank/portal/balance?environment=live" \
  -H "x-api-key: $TRONERGY_API_KEY"
Response
{ "ok": true, "chain": "tron", "environment": "live", "currency": "TRX", "available": "125.5", "inflight": "2.95", "total": "128.45" }

Amounts are in TRX.

  • available: what you can spend now.
  • inflight: held for relays that are still running.
  • total: both together.

Use environment=sandbox for your sandbox balance. List balances returns every account at once, in sun.

What you pay

  1. When you call execute, Tronergy quotes the relay.
  2. That amount is held on your balance.
  3. When the relay completes, you pay the quote. Not more, not less.

The charge is saved on the operation as estimatedFee.

When a relay does not complete

  • Cancelled or expired: the hold is released. You pay nothing.
  • Failed before anything was spent: you pay nothing.
  • Failed after Tronergy already spent TRX on it (for example on bandwidth or activating the account): you pay only what was actually spent, never more than the quote. The rest is released.

Low balance

If your balance is below the quote, execute returns 422 INSUFFICIENT_BALANCE. Nothing is broadcast or charged. Top up and retry with the same idempotencyKey.

To avoid this:

  • Turn on a low-balance alert in the dashboard (Gas Tank → Alerts).
  • Or read balance.available on a schedule and top up when it drops.

You can also set a monthly budget cap in the dashboard. A relay that would go over it ends as failed with BUDGET_CAP_EXCEEDED.

Fees from your users

In fee modes, the user also pays a fee on-chain. Your balance is still charged the quote. The user's fee is a separate payment to you.

History and withdrawals

  • Deposits and charges: GET /gas_tank/portal/transactions
  • Spend this week or month: GET /gas_tank/portal/usage
  • Withdraw unused balance from the dashboard. API keys cannot withdraw.

See balance for every endpoint and field.
